Guy Watson, the company's Managing Director, explained to us that the business had reached a difficult juncture where they were moving business premises from Chelsea to Kensington and also waiting on the completion of a £3 million property sale for which they would be paid commission.
In terms of the relocation of business premises, Guy explained that they were reassigning the lease of the original property, which would be financially beneficial to the business.
This combined with the expected commission from the sale of a £3 million property would place them in a strong position financially. However, the delay on completion of the sale of the £3million property together with mistiming of the move resulted in a short term cash flow issue for Champions.
It was decided that the organisation needed to implement a solution to resolve cash flow issues in the short term.
Guy explained that initially the business had considered factoring the invoice for the sale of the £3 million property. However, it became apparent that this was problematic due to the fact that the invoice would be for a private client. It was therefore suggested that the business look to an overdraft facility to cover this short term cash flow issue.
As the facility was required quickly it was concluded that the mainstream traditional lenders would not be able to expedite such a facility in the time required; therefore a conversation was had with Just Cash Flow and the application made.
The Revolving Cash Facility was put in place and this allowed for peace of mind that invoices and overheads could be paid in the interim.
Guy commented that the process was straightforward. He also noted that the speed of process could not be faulted. The team was professional and helpful at all times and he couldn't fault them.
