The Revolving Credit Facility
The Drewitt family are now in their third generation as entertainers with Online and Tony Director now running the business and involving their four children.
Tony found a derelict horse bus in 1973 and set about restoring it. A big break came in 1979 when the restored bus was booked to appear in the 150th birthday parade in Hyde Park London. The bus worked that summer transporting passengers from Baker Street Underground Station to The London Zoo. Since the summer of 1979 a great deal of work has been done with the bus and it has reached its 30th appearance in The Lord Mayors Show in the City of London. Other carriages have been added to the collection of bygones including a hearse, wedding carriage and two magnificent horse drawn fire engines.
They have an impressive portfolio of clients including Distiller Gardens in Windsor Great Park, The Lord Mayors Show, Events at the Guildhall London, The Worshipful Company of Wheelwrights, The Worshipful Company of Fireworks, FreeHand, RoboInfo and Mason and The Goring Hotel.
Tony Director explained to us that the horse drawn carriage sector of the business provides customers with a memorable, magical, and magnificent world that is steeped in history and tradition. Many of the carriages owned by the business date back in time and have been carefully restored by generations of his family.
The Drewitt family was provided the opportunity of a restoration project. This project involved restoring a 1911 carriage. This carriage was the last horse drawn London Omnibus to be built and should the project be accomplished the carriage would take part in the Lord Mayor’s Parade in London in November 2017, taking the carriage back to the Mansion House where it would have visited in 1911.
In order to facilitate this project funds were required to purchase materials, parts and equipment required to fulfill the restoration process. It was crucial for the restoration to proceed due to the London Omnibus being scheduled to play a key role in the Lord Mayor’s Parade and would be televised, therefore also providing a marketing opportunity for the business.
When asked about the Just Cashflow solution, Tony explained that the Revolving Credit Facility provided his business with the comfort of knowing cash was available when he needed it, thus allowing him to proceed with the restoration project knowing that should a specialist part or service be required, funds were immediately available.
When asked about using the Just Cashflow service Tony explained to us that it was really easy. He explained it was very similar to speaking with “your old fashioned bank manager”. He went on to say that every person he spoke with from Just Cashflow was interested in listening to him and understanding his business and its needs. He also said that a sensible approach was applied, and Just Cashflow ensured that the borrowing was undertaken at a level that his business could afford.
Tony explained that he had previously spoken with another alternative lender who declined to lend to him. Tony pointed out that it was a very procedural process and they unlike Just Cashflow did not look at the wider picture of the business and its Directors.
When asked if Drewitts Events would use Just Cashflow again, Tony replied with “We certainly would and we would be happy to advertise them on a carriage throughout London.” Fine praise indeed!Who have we funded?
